Cinnamon Essential Oil / Cinnamomum zeylanicum
Cinnamon essential oil, with the Latin name Cinnamomum zeylanicum, belongs to the family Lauraceae. It is extracted from the bark, leaves, and twigs of the cinnamon tree through steam distillation. The oil is transparent with a yellowish-brown to deep brown color and possesses a rich aromatic and spicy scent with sweet musky undertones. Cinnamon essential oil is mainly produced in Sri Lanka.
