Camphor Essential Oil / Cinnamomum camphora
Camphor oil, also known as fragrant camphor leaf oil, with the English names Ho oil or Ho leaf oil and the Latin name Cinnamomum camphora, is one of the unique essential oils from Taiwan. The camphor tree has a long history and a wide range of uses, originating from the Jiangnan provinces of Mainland China, Japan, the Ryukyu Islands, India, etc. It is a subtropical evergreen broad-leaved tree that can grow up to 30 meters tall, featuring white flowers and red berries. The wood of the camphor tree has a rich aroma and is used for building materials, furniture, musical instruments, etc. Its dense branches and majestic shape also play a significant role in dust absorption and smoke resistance, highlighting its strong environmental benefits. Fragrant camphor is a variety of camphor tree whose leaves contain a high concentration of linalool, making it the primary source for oil extraction, widely used in the perfume industry.
